Öland Chamber Players Festival Celebrates 10 Years
The summer of 2026 marks an important milestone for Öland Chamber Players as the festival celebrates its tenth anniversary.
Founded in 2016 by cellist and Artistic Director Sabina Sandri-Olsson, Öland Chamber Players was created with the ambition of bringing outstanding chamber musicians to Öland and creating meaningful musical encounters in an intimate setting. Over the past decade, the festival has welcomed artists from Sweden and abroad, presenting programmes that combine beloved masterpieces with lesser-known works and new artistic discoveries.
A significant chapter in the festival’s history began in 2020, when Camerata Nordica became a partner of Öland Chamber Players. What started during a challenging period for the performing arts sector developed into a lasting collaboration, helping to secure the festival’s future while preserving its unique character and artistic independence.

Today, Öland Chamber Players has established itself as a valued part of Öland’s cultural summer. The festival remains committed to artistic excellence, curiosity, and the close connection between musicians and audiences that has been at the heart of the project since its beginning.
The 2026 anniversary edition continues this tradition with a programme that brings together internationally acclaimed artists, returning festival favourites, and new musical encounters.
