The concert

Camerata Nordica is honored to perform the opening concert for Kalmar’s new cultural center, Strömmen. For this special occasion, we aim to provide a program that is intimate, warm, and reflects the core essence of our ensemble. Our octet will begin with “Låt till far” and “Polska” by Karl Lindblad, arranged by Karl Johan Ankarblom, serving as a tribute to our Nordic heritage.

Following this, we will perform Felix Mendelssohn’s Octet in E-flat major, Op. 20—a vibrant and expressive work that showcases youthful energy, elegance, and genuine chamber music craftsmanship. Through this performance, we hope to add a memorable touch to the evening and celebrate the unveiling of a new cultural chapter in Kalmar.
